Vickie Hawkins-Black, LCSW...

Vickie Hawkins-Black is a LCSW providing individual, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Norfolk, VA. With over 20 years experience as a child and family therapist, is a graduate of Norfolk State University specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  She is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of specialized training are Structural Family Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.

Mrs. Black is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Her professional experience also includes administration, clinical consultation, program development, strategic planning, training and community education.

Danielle Brown, LCSW...

Danielle Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing individual, family, and group therapy. Ms. Brown has worked with families for over 10 years offering a broad spectrum of case management and mental health services.  She believes that if you search within, you will find that you already possess the ability and skills you need to make positive changes in your life. From time to time, additional supports are needed to assist us in developing new skills to work through life’s challenges.

As a psychotherapist, her role is to simply guide you along your path of self-discovery, and provide support as you develop the personal resources you need to live the life you want. Her straightforward, interactive approach emphasizes forming a trusting relationship to understand and explore how life experiences shape your present. Her approach focuses on helping you to find solutions to problems and the best way to cope with situations by changing behaviors that contribute to the problem.

Ms. Brown is also an approved Parent Education Seminar Provider for the local court jurisdictions. She is currently facilitating court approved co-parenting education classes for families currently engaged in custody disputes.
